EXPERIENCE THE EXQUISITE

Subsequent to whom you decide to marry, the location of your wedding venue as well as your choice of service providers says just as much about you and your vision for your dream wedding day.  If this sounds like you, or you are one of those who place an importance on wanting only the absolute best for your special day, The Michelangelo Hotel on Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton presents Experience the Exquisite.

The concept for Experience the Exquisite was borne out of a need for something completely unique and more exclusive, and there was no better location to host an all-inclusive sensory wedding experience than at The Michelangelo Hotel itself. Guests can savour in all the exquisite sights, smells, sounds, tastes and touches that the Michelangelo has to offer, from the refined sight of the renaissance-style Hotel, the sweet sounds of the resident pianist and other musical sensations, to the tastes and smells of masterpiece fare prepared by the Hotel’s chefs, and the pampering touches and textures that the wedding industry is renowned for.

Combine this with the upper echelon of Gauteng’s wedding professionals and you have the most extraordinary wedding experience ever. So while it may sound like an expo, it certainly won’t look and feel like one. It’s far more exclusive, which is why it’s called an experience and not an exhibition. So completely disregard everything you thought you knew about expos, because visitors are considered guests of The Michelangelo and can meander their way through fabric ‘TwistWalls’, which curl upwards creating an ethereal and romantic profile. Onlookers will be delighted by the free-flowing artistic forms and dynamic lighting influences. Amid this extraordinary setting guests will be introduced to distinctive ideas and expert services from a maximum of 45 handpicked wedding professionals (to ensure only the finest in their field are represented of course)!

Value for money

Experience the Exquisite at The Michelangelo will offer genuine value for money as a host of complimentary extras will be included in the entrance fee.

Delectable tastings (three times daily) prepared by The Michelangelo chefs will include sample, bite sizes of the various menu concepts on offer, from Breakfast, Brunch and High Tea items, to Lunch, Cocktail and Dinner menus. Andrew Atkinson, Executive Chef of The Michelangelo Hotel, who has prepared fare for dignitaries like Madiba, the Queen of England, Bill Clinton and Sting to name but a few, presents the tastings with a difference and always to a five-star standard. “Everyone has different ideas and their own perception of the perfect cuisine so The Michelangelo Hotel arranges a private consultation to chat to each couple about their likes and dislikes. The Hotel tailors each menu accordingly to ensure each wedding menu is unique and personalised,” says Andrew.

Interactive workshops, similar to a private consultation, will be included in the entrance fee. With only six workshops offered over the three days, it is essential that interested guests pre-book their ticket before they are all sold out (log onto www.the-exp.co.za to pre-book). Wedding professionals will discuss their expert ideas and services directly with you (even those elite fashion designers you hear so much about but would never usually have the chance of meeting one-on-one - ideal for brides still looking for their fairy-godmother designer).

Gift bags: on entrance the first 5000 guests will receive a gift bag with digital brochure of all the wedding professionals on display, as well as unique tips, ideas and articles for when you plan your big day.
