Marriage Meander

YOUR WEDDING CHECKLIST - A basic guideline as to what to do and when...

TWELVE MONTHS PRIOR (OR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE)

• Decide on a wedding date and time.
• Discuss your budget and decide on who will be paying for what aspects of the wedding,
how many guests will be invited – this is a good opportunity to create your guest list.
• Ensure that the clergyman is available for the selected date, and set up an appointment
  to meet with him.
• Join the Marriage Meander, a luxury coach trip, and visit wedding venues, meet up with
wedding specialists, and have the opportunity to begin planning for every aspect of your
  wedding.
• Book the ceremony location / chapel and your venue. Book early to avoid disappointment.
• Create a list of all the wedding specialists you will require for your special day.
This will include: Attorney, Bonbonnieres, Cakes, Dance Studio, Dιcor, Dress Designer,
Florist, Hair Stylist, Internet Wedding Album, Invitations, Jewellery, Limousine Hire,
Lingerie, Mobile Disco, Musicians, Photographers, Skin Care / Make-Up Artist,
Videographer and possibly a Wedding Coordinator if you feel you can't do it all yourself
or just for peace of mind! Set up appointments to meet with them or to view their
portfolios. You will also require quotations on the service they are able to provide.
You can attend the Meander Mazes to get to meet the suppliers and this may assist with
  making these selections.
• Decide on wedding attendants (bride’s maid, flower girls, page boy). They can be included
along with your initial dress fitting.
• Decide on the best man and master of ceremonies.
• Consider honeymoon options – make sure that your passports are up to date if needed.

FOUR TO SIX MONTHS AHEAD

• Register with Bridal Registries for gifts.
• Streamline the guest list.

• Make appointments with your hairdresser and make-up artist for both a trial session
  and for the wedding day.
• Decide on a menu.

• Keep in contact with either your wedding planner or with the various wedding
specialists to ensure all arrangements are in order.
• Collect your wedding rings.
• Confirm all transportation including transport to the chapel and on your honeymoon.
• Arrange to move belongings to new home.
• Meet with your DJ at a pre-function meeting to discuss your music requirements.
• Set a date and time for your rehearsal – usually held a day or two before the wedding
• Set up appointment for beauty salon - indulge in a manicure and pedicure, usually
held a day before the wedding.
