MARRIAGE MEANDER JOURNEYS

WHICH VENUES ARE ON THE MEANDERS?
There are selected venues and studios per Meander dependant on the area and as they are confirmed we place their details on our website.

WHICH WEDDING SPECIALISTS ARE ON THE MEANDERS?
There are varied wedding specialists per category – each an expert in their field and with a wealth of experience.  There are both presentations and displays by these specialists and they are available to chat to you throughout the day.  The categories featured are:  Hair, Make-up, Wedding Attire, Music, Videography, Photography, Legalities, Décor, Flowers and the Honeymoon.  The authors of Ring Bound Weddings – Nici Bailes and Karen Landi – host the Gauteng Meanders and are on hand to answer all of your questions and queries.

WHAT SHALL I WEAR?
It is best to wear comfortable walking shoes and casual clothing.  The early mornings are chilly but things really heat up along our journey – so dress accordingly!  If the weather is overcast bring a brolly.  You will be given a large Marriage Meander Bag for all of your gifts.

WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Bring your mom, fiancé, bridesmaid or best friend – whomever you would most like to spend the day with!  You are welcome to bring as many of your entourage with you as you would like - it is a fabulous, social day out!  Many fiancés brave the Meander (all depending on the sport on that particular Saturday!) and we have between 10 and 15 men attending a Meander. 
If you would like to come on your own, this is perfect too!  Our Team are very hospitable and you will certainly not be lonely!  It is not advisable to bring children as it is a very long, exhausting day for little people.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS ON THE MEANDER?
The rate per person is all inclusive of a day of spoiling, pampering and gifts.

There will be goodies available for purchase on the day so you might want to bring a little cash with you just in case you find the perfect bon bon for your wedding day or a bridal book you may not yet have bought.  However, there is nothing you need to buy so do not feel it is neccessary to bring additional money.

WHERE DO I PARK MY CAR?
You will leave your car parked at the first venue of the day.  The luxury Marriage Meander coach transports guests to each of the venues and arrives back at the first venue of the day at 17h30. Your car will be looked after by security.

CAN I BRING MY CAMERA?
With pleasure. You will be seeing stunning venues and will be inspired by the displays that the wedding specialists take so much care in preparing.  You are more than welcome to bring your camera and take lots of pics.

CAN I ATTEND MORE THAN ONE MARRIAGE MEANDER?
Absolutely!  The dates of all the Meanders are available on the site once confirmed.

WHAT IS THE COST OF THE MARRIAGE MEANDER JOURNEY?
The cost of the 2010 Marriage Meander Journeys are R250.00 inclusive of vat per person.  The tickets are limited to 4 guests per bride. 

HOW DO I BOOK?
All you need to do to secure your seats on the Marriage Meander is to request a booking form from either the Gauteng or Natal Marriage Meander and email back to us.  Please remember that all tickets are on a first come, first served basis and seats are limited.  We unfortunately do not take bookings nor money on the day – bookings need to be made and are payable in advance.  Because of the demand, we are unable to take provisional bookings.  Upon receipt of your booking form and proof of payment, we will email you a letter of confirmation.

MARRIAGE MAZE WORKSHOPS

WHICH VENUES HOST THE WORKSHOPS?
These venues are selected by region where we are unable to run a Meander Journey due to the distance between the venues and yet would like our brides to view the venue.  The 2010 venues hosting are two of our Jacaranda Journey venues namely Kleinkaap and Oxbow Country Estate. 

WHICH WEDDING SPECIALISTS ARE ON THE MEANDERS?
There are varied wedding specialists per category – each an expert in their field and with a wealth of experience.  There are both presentations and displays by these specialists and they are available to chat to you throughout the day.  The categories featured are appropriate to the requests made by the brides at the time.

WHAT SHALL I WEAR?
It is an informal evening or luncheon and there is no formal dress code.

WHO SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Bring your mom, fiancé, bridesmaid or best friend – whomever you would most like to spend the ocassion with!  It is suggested that you make an event of this and use this time to share in the wedding planning with family and friends as they like to be involved.  You are welcome to bring as many of your entourage with you as you would like - it is a fabulous, social outing!  It is not advisable to bring children as the presentations can be lengthy and they do not always have the attention span that the adults do but depending on the venue, there may be place for them to run around if it is a day function.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS ON THE MEANDER?
The rate per person is inclusive of lunch/dinner and all presentations.  Juices are included though there may be a cash bar and this will be highlighted when booking. 

There may be goodies available for purchase by the suppliers and these are often a nice to have.
